In the word, we know that Adam and Eve ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil before they had eaten of the tree of life; because of this they were not allowed to eat from the tree of life. The question is, if they were allowed to eat from the best of the garden, why did they want to eat what was forbidden? It is because the flesh lusts after what it should not. The flesh is contrary to the nature of the ruach. It wants what it should not have. Why do we lust after the snacks instead of real food? Why do we lust after the music of this world? Why do we lust after the movies of this world? We see here the need for the rebirth, so that we can have a new nature. That is why Yahusha had to come so that we would have a new body. One that pleases The Most High. The next time you are lusting after something that you know will not benefit you when there is clearly a better opinion, you will know why.
