When Legacy Jackson was 2, she and her family spent a cold Christmas morning in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. They were handing out hot soup and warm clothes to people in need. Legacy’s mom, Kynedra Ogunnaike, says volunteering is a family tradition. It’s “just part of who we are,” she told TIME for Kids.
By the time Legacy was 4, she had started to notice something about the community service events she took part in. “There would never be any kids,” Legacy, now 16, says. “And the projects weren’t really entertaining and fun for my age group.” She wanted to start her own volunteer group, just for kids. With her mom’s help, that’s exactly what she did.
Little Legacies was launched in 2016, when Legacy was 7. “We do a different community service project every month,” the high school junior says. The group’s mission: “Kids, service, and fun.” This year, it celebrates 10 years of doing good.
GOOD GROUP In 2016, members of Little Legacies show off cards they made for kids in the hospital. Legacy is second from the right.
It is important to stay clean. It keeps your body healthy. Personal care items help. Toilet paper is a personal care item. So are soap and toothpaste. Audrey Brown is 13. She helps people get these items.
These are personal care items. Do you see any that your family uses? Audrey collected these. Her classmates helped.
Audrey and her classmates organized the products. They worked together. They filled bags with items to be donated.
Students decorated the bags. They wrote kind notes. Then the bags were given to people in need.
TAKE WHAT YOU NEED
This is a tiny pantry in Ohio. It has canned food. It has personal care items. Anyone can take from it.

Brother-Sister Spring into Action to Help Save their School Bus Driver from Medical Emergency
When an Ohio school bus driver began to suffer a medical event, a brother and sister took action that may have saved her life.
Footage taken from a surveillance camera inside the bus shows 8-year-old Catrina sitting in the seat nearest the driver, who began to have trouble breathing. Catrina asked if she was alright, and a shake of the head replied in the negative.
The footage, released by Crestview Local Schools in Ashland, then shows Catrina run to the back of the bus and alert someone she knew she could count on: her 7th-grade brother Charlie.
The fear of The King has fallen upon Sasha Johson, and it is from no fault of her own. Abba Yah, I humbly ask that may you lift this fear from her. She has so many questions and pain. May you please send healing from your throne. May you grant her peace with her situation. I pray this in the name of Yahusha Hamashiach.
Abba Yah, this couple knows you. I wish all couples were as this one. I pray that you may be the center of their marriage; that they may grow in you as they do have the knowledge of you.
