Alex O’Keefe, an award-winning screenwriter for the hit FX show The Bear, posted a video on Instagram of Metropolitan Transit Authority police officers arresting him while he was traveling on a train to Connecticut, along with a caption that said his arrest was sparked by an “old white lady” complaining about how he was sitting.
O’Keefe has also been a speechwriter for Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Ed Markey (D-MA). In the sole post on his Instagram account, O’Keefe shared two video clips and two photos from the train incident, along with a caption.
It is time for cops to stop answering the calls to entitled people! No one should be arrested because of the way they are sitting. The cops have better things to spend their time and our money on.

CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT/Gray News)— A Virginia woman who won big playing the lottery is giving her winnings to charity.
Carrie Edwards won $150,000 by matching four of the first five numbers plus the Powerball number on her lottery ticket in the Sept. 8 drawing.
Normally, that wins $50,000, but Edwards spent an extra $1 on Power Play, so her prize money tripled to $150,000.
On Tuesday, Edwards received her prize and immediately gave her winnings away as three $50,000 gifts.

On Sept. 19, national civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump announced that the Colin Kaepernick Know Your Rights Camp Autopsy Initiative will cover the cost of a second independent autopsy for slain Delta State student Demartravion “Trey” Reed.
According to USA Today, on Sept. 15, Reed was found deceased as his body hung from a tree, and despite the historical parallels of the lynching of Black people, particularly Black men in the South, the Mississippi State Medical Examiner’s Office determined that Reed had hung himself and committed suicide. In addition, the Cleveland Police Department noted in a press release that toxicology reports are ongoing and could take several weeks to be processed.
